Gender Equity Between Male and Female Referees - A Goal to Achieve
Since his appointment as head of the African Judo Union’s Refereeing Commission, Mr. Ababacar NGOM has spared no effort in ensuring gender parity among referees at various continental competitions. It is worth recalling that Mr. Siteny RANDRIANASOLONIAIKO had made this objective a priority at the start of his mandate. Significant efforts have been made since 2021 in terms of training and refresher courses to attract a large number of former athletes at the end of their careers to refereeing.
