In the -81kg category, Abdel Rahman Abdelghany dominated the category, which included 19 competitors. He faced Benin's Valentin Houinato in this final. A fight he won to secure Egypt's first medal of the day. In the -100kg category, two Egyptians faced off in the final. Egypt's Abdelsamea Abdalla defeated his compatriot Elramly Omar. And the spectacle in the +100kg category saw Egypt's Aborakia Mohamed defeat Senegal's Ndiaye Mbagnick by ippon.
