The official opening ceremony of the 46th African Seniors Judo Championships 2025 was held this Saturday in Abidjan. It was marked by a speech by the President of the African Judo Union. Mr. Siteny Randriana Soloniaiko thanked the Ivorian Judo Federation and the local authorities for their remarkable commitment and warm welcome. This event, he said, marks an important step in our ambition to promote excellence, unity, and opportunity through judo. The UAJ president continued his speech by stating that these championships are not only a celebration of sporting performance, but also of the values that define our sport – respect, courage, and friendship. This event symbolizes the strength of our continent and the promising future we are building together.
Le ministre des Sports de la Cote d’Ivoire, M. Adje Silas METCH et M. Seydou DABONNE, le président de Fédération Ivoirienne de Judo ont également procédé à cette cérémonie d’ouverture.
