The trio of IJF experts, composed of Florin Daniel LASCAU, Chief Director of Refereeing, BAGDASAROV Armen, Chief Director of Refereeing and BARCOS Juan Carlos, Director of International Relations are actually in Morocco.

The three experts share the idea of 'team refeering' to supervise, master and control the fights so as not to make mistakes. Technology is also a major asset for supervising combat says Mr. Juan Carlos BARCOS. He indicate talks about the intelligence and lucidity of the referees when making a decision. For him the referees are trained for taking the best decisions during the fights. He maintain that 99 % of the referees decisions are good decisions.

For Mr Florin Daniel Lascau, the Chief Director of Refereeing, training courses are necessary to train the best referees who have exceptional responsibilities for all judo competitions around the world. "We have a fantastic group of referees support Mr. Florin Daniel Lascau and who also says they are ready for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He also addressed controversial issues including 'Bridge' and 'landing on the head', penalties among others to allow more practical exchanges for a better understanding. He is of the opinion that the reading of the fights and the lucidity of the referees are very important.

Sofia Bel Attar, the Moroccan judoka, is also training to become an international level referee. She is on her first training course and she wants to train and especially develop to become a referee

For the Moroccan judoka Adil Hogi who has now stopped the competition, he wanted to be among the best referees in the world. He has already set his goal after his career as an athlete.

The trio of the IJF experts are actually in Morocco to lead a high level training course followed by an international exams to certify international referees in the African continent. Mr. BAGDASAROV Armen, IJF chief referee director affirm that the referee work as a team to take decisions and he also says that there is a big challenge for the referees but that have all necessary support, training and tools to be 'top level referees'.
