Malagasy Aina Laura Rasoanaivo ranked world No. 1 juniors - 70KG

The judokate won 5 gold medals and one bronze at the African Open and Cup in Tunisia, Algeria and Angola. She was honored and awarded a recognition trophy for her extraordinary performances.

Laura Aina Rasanaivo Razafy never ceases to surprise. The judokate won gold in the junior and senior categories respectively at the Tunis Open in the -70Kg category last March. She continued her quest for a medal by winning a few days after a gold medal (J) and a bronze (S) in Algiers. And on April 7-8, the champion will win two more gold medals in junior and senior at the Africa Youth Cup and the Luanda Open in Angola.

Laura Aina Rasoanaivo, now world junior No. 1, is at the top of her performance. She has a string of competitions and victories and has positioned herself among the best judokas in the world at the junior level. Laura won 6 medals in one month and is credited with 500 points ahead of Germany's Samira Bock (466 points), Czech Julie Zarybnicka (425 points), Colombia's Brenda Omaha (400 points), and Korea's Jimin Yang (300 points).

On this momentum, the champion is preparing for the Senior World Championships in Doha on May 7, the African Cadet and Junior Championships in Madagascar in July and the Indian Ocean Island Games in Madagascar from August 25 to September 4.The Malagasy judokate is also looking for a qualification for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The president of the Malagasy Judo Federation, Bruno Eric Saïd met the Malagasy Minister of Sports, André Haja Resampa with judokate Laura Rasoanaivo Razafy last weekend.  The champion athlete also received a recognition trophy for her brilliant performances.
