40th ÉDITION OF THE AFRICAN JUDO CHAMPIONSHIP-DRAW DRAWS THE COMPETITION IN SOUTH AFRICA

The president of the African Judo Union, Habib Sissoko adresses many thanks to the president of the International Federation for his support in the organisation of continental and international events in Africa. Mr Sissoko statement during the ceremony marking the drawing exercise marks the 40th edition of the African Judo Championships in Cape Town, South Africa.

During his speech, the president of the AJU also pointed that this big event will create and strengthen bonds of friendship and solidarity between the athletes of different delegations of the continent.

This 40th edition of the African judo championships which is actually held in Cape Town in South Africa welcomes a total of 186 judokas-114 men and 72 women. The draw took place at the Cape Sun hotel this Wednesday night. During his speech, the sport director of AJU, Abakar Djermah said that all the rules of the IJF will be applied rigorously during the competition
